EVs are changing the world we live in for the better, but how should we consider them as an overall experience and design object? I think it’s important to drive a line directly from ethos of each brand to aesthetics, materials and interactions to build the emotional connection back to the end consumer. My time with Zero Motorcycles is a good example of how we were able to build this connection and produce three separate ground-up bike designs that are helping to change the industry.
Color, Material & Finish
I took lead of key role in developing the CMF and graphics of the SR/F that became a blueprint of how Zero would apply these themes over the next 3 vehicles. The intent was to celebrate the drivetrain with warm metallics, while taking a more subtle approach to the graphic and main body color strategy.
The lower rendering shows all the parts that I contributed final CAD to on these projects, on top of the overall support that I was providing during vehicle development.
